Most of our Shared Web Hosting plans have a generous amount of Bandwidth / Data Transfer for your website. What this means is that "Generally" you wont have to worry about your Bandwidth / Data Transfer if / when your site becomes very popular. We say "Generally" because you WILL DEFINITELY have to stay on top of a lot of other things - like making sure that your website is fully coded to the highest optimization levels, so that it does not harm the other Shared Web Hosting accounts on the server AND that you always fully comply with the Bandwidth / Data Transfer Policy and Restrictions listed below. Examples of things that will cause harm to other accounts on the server include but are not limited to heavy CPU load issues, being a RAM hog, and processing too much disk drive input/output.

If your site causes ANY of these problems, or if your site violates any of the Bandwidth / Data Transfer Policy and Restrictions, your website will be immediately restricted to 1 Gig of Bandwidth / Data Transfer and your site may be temporarily shut down while we seek a resolution and you will be provided the option to get your own dedicated machine or recode your website.

Bandwidth / Data Transfer Policy and Restrictions:

Shared Web Hosting Plans have the following restrictions on Bandwidth / Data Transfer allottments:

• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any image or picture file larger than 20k.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any sound, music, video, or audio file of any size.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any E-Mail storage (combined total of all accounts and all E-Mail) larger than 10 megs.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any executable file, dll, zip, tar, or any other type of compressed file.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any database greater than 50 megs.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any backup file of any kind - EXCEPT for backuping up your own website files once per day.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any file sharing, upload, download, archive, backup, mirroring, or file distribution site of any kind.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any file that makes your account resources available the general public.
• Bandwidth / Data Transfer cannot be used for the storage or transmission of any banner exchange, top sites script, or any other script/site that is designed to be run on other websites.
